Something to consider from Rebecca Sterling. Because she took down her Facebook page, I'm paraphrasing:
We must know the name that the angel told Mary to call her baby. His name is not the Greek derivation "Jesus" or the altered Hebrew "Yeshua," but Yashua. We don't say "halleluyeh," but "halleluyah." God will bend over backwards to hear you by whatever name you call him, but Satan is not bound by a false name. Some lesser demons are easily dismissed with or without the name of God, the greater ones that are coming, are not. We ought to familiarize ourselves with His true name.

Likewise the name of God is not the altered Jehovah or substituded Adonai, but Yahweh.1

Notes

1. Yahweh is considered to be the vocalization of the Tetragrammaton.
