I was meditating for a short time and thought about Prasad's disapproval. The thought came to me that we fear other people's disapproval because we sense what they really are, and we do not want to be rejected by God, but what we don't realize is what is speaking or disapproving or giving offense is not God, but them taking something personally and becoming angry, which we then take personally because we wanted an intimate, trusted relationship with the divine. (A covenant or trust, perhaps) But we are only responsible for our response, and we must be true to the divine in us, even if others are not. We desire to be one with each other. We sense light in others we want to be united with, and we sense others may have or be in contact with something we have not yet got a handle on.

This is why I think it is so hard not to follow a man, but to be true to God, we must distinguish between when he is speaking and when he isn't.
