Christ said "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

No one knows discomfort like someone who has lost all support from depending on men for truth. Sure men and even prophets give us important truths, but no one can rely on anyone else totally. Thus *everything* comes into question, and one is left to sort it out with only imploring heaven to guide them. Cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh, yet it feels like comfort, while trusting in God can feel like a curse. Even the scriptures are intentionally misleading to those not acquainted with their "plainness". Christ said he would not leave us comfortless, but He didn't say how long it would be, before we obtained relief.
