We are, as Abinadi said, carnal, sensual and devilish beings.1 The brother of Jared stated that our natures have become evil continually.2 The Garden gave each of us a reprieve from our master. Because of the lamb we are reclaimed; born innocent, guiltless, pure and beautiful.3 We fall, but the Lord continues to strive4 with us wicked beings. He sends rain on the just and unjust.5 We always think it's those "other" people who are wicked or unjust, however I believe there are few, if any, just or righteous beings upon the earth at any given time.6 He strives until we are fully ripe.7 We are fully ripe when we reject him for so long, that by laws that govern agency, he must reluctantly do as we ask and step back.8 When he steps back, our natures take full sway and unspeakable horror ensues.9 We go into a lake of fire and brimstone.10 We pluck the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Choice is then offered again.11 A strong angel able to loose the seals steps forth12 and is slain from the foundation of the world.13 An escape from the deaths14 is offered as the Lord's spirit strives.

Notes

1. "...yea, even that old serpent that did beguile our first parents, which was the cause of their fall; which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish, knowing evil from good, subjecting themselves to the devil." (Mosiah 16:3)

2. "we know that thou art holy and dwellest in the heavens, and that we are unworthy before thee; because of the fall our natures have become evil continually." (Ether 3:2)

3. "...little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin." (Moroni 8:8)

"But little children are alive in Christ, even from the foundation of the world." (Moroni 8:12)

"yea, teach parents that they must repent and be baptized, and humble themselves as their little children, and they shall all be saved with their little children." (Moroni 8:10)

"And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein." (Luke 18:15-17)

Their souls have been purchased, their natures have become covered clothed by righteousness. In a state of redemption.

4. Examples of what happens when the Lord's spirit ceases to strive: Ether 14:21-25, Ether 15:17-19, Moroni 9:4-23

5. "Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?" (Matthew 5:43-46)

6. The righteous or just would include those whom the Son has clothed with righteousness including Abraham, Issac, Jacob. They came into the actual presence of God, and not just a ceremony depicting what we ought to be doing.

7. "Wo unto them that turn aside the just for a thing of naught and revile against that which is good, and say that it is of no worth! For the day shall come that the Lord God will speedily visit the inhabitants of the earth; and in that day that they are fully ripe in iniquity they shall perish." (2 Nephi 28:16)

8. See Moroni 9:1-5. What is the Lord doing in these verses except being? Our reaction to the Lord stepping back feels like anger kindled. As the lights in heaven are given as signs from the vantage point of where we stand on the earth, so to is anger and wrath what it feels like when the Lord steps back.

9. With our sick video games and other things we call entertainment, we have truly been preparing for our tenure in the end of the world.

10. "And assuredly, as the Lord liveth, for the Lord God hath spoken it, and it is his eternal word, which cannot pass away, that they who are righteous shall be righteous still, and they who are filthy shall be filthy still; wherefore, they who are filthy are the devil and his angels; and they shall go away into everlasting fire, prepared for them; and their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever and has no end." (2 Nephi 9:16)

11. "And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell; And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them; And they who keep their first estate shall be added upon; and they who keep not their first estate shall not have glory in the same kingdom with those who keep their first estate; and they who keep their second estate shall have glory added upon their heads for ever and ever." (Abraham 3:24-26)

12. "And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?  And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof." (Revelation 5:2-5)

13. "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship...the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Revelation 13:8)

14. "Broad is the gate, and wide the way that leadeth to the deaths; and many there are that go in thereat." (D&C 132:25)
