When Christ came, there were many things wrong with society. The Jewish nation was a  serf to the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire was committing atrocities against other people. The question of what was right or wrong with the outside world never came up until the Pharisees attempted to trap Jesus. His reply was dismissive. "Give the government what they want." His concern was not our external surroundings, but the individual. He was concerned about the individual and their relationship with God.
