From a FB conversation1 that began January 16 at 5:13pm. I've added what LHB and I thought were good parts of this conversation and may add more as it continues.

Tami: We already have a coat of skin...the temple to cover our soul or spirit. Think about it, it was Satan that told Adam and Eve that they were "naked" and that they should cover up, like it was a bad thing.

Camilla: I wonder why the endowment doesn't at some point have us rejecting the fig leaf appron that was a commandment from Lucifer, in favor of the better things we received from God...

Jacob: "Jehovah, inasmuch as Adam and Eve have discovered their nakedness, make coats of skins as a covering for them." That's the instruction i was referring to. The fig leaves aren't a skin. They're an embarrassing reminder of our human follies, transgressions. Lucifer uses the word apron, the same word Adam uses when He asks lucifer what his aprons are. The aprons are meant to remind us that we are human, and do not hold the power. Satan wants us to think and be lifted up in pride that we have "aprons of power". When Jehovah gave them skins, they took off that apron because they were redeemed because of the sacrifice that was made

MSB: The apron can be a symbol of wisdom. We are born perfect, but as we grow in this toxic world, we learn to reject ourselves like everyone else. With that rejection comes many sinful behaviors that are contrary to our nature of love, because we believe we lack love. The leaves are a symbol of having consumed that fruit. They can also be a symbol of the spirit of the Lord in us triumphing over the accuser, we having learned the lessons we came here to learn.
