Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Humpty Dumpty is an egg representing divine primordial unity. In Vedic as well as West African Dogan cosmology the universe is an egg that shatters as it expands to begin its career of unfoldment in time. Humpty sits on a wall that defines the edge between eternity and time. We "fall" into time and the King is working with the angels to bring us again to unity. It takes great effort and only a small amount of natural fruit is gathered, but as agency is respected most will refuse and be left in a fallen state.

The symbolism of this nursery rhyme is taken mostly from William Irwin Thompson with a few of my own thoughts.
