LB: "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints claims it has something special, something unique, and then seals itself off from all other Christian conversations about theology, beliefs, ideas, teachings, etc. Denver Snuffer started sharing his experiences and ideas about the second comforter, and within several years a movement rose up and made an exodus out of the LDS corporation. This group became more and more uniform, excommunicating those who didn’t conform, and became another offshoot of the lds church. They too believe that they have something unique from the rest of the world.

"Upon personal study I was shocked that while I believe that Denver Snuffer is genuine in his experiences and ideas (now turned into teachings), that almost every idea he has shared is not information unique to him. In fact, it seems obvious to me that he is simply transmuting ideas from other scholars that he internalized into his own understanding. Thus for me strongly showing me that I don’t need a prophet and that I worship/revere no man (person). I read everything available from Max Skousen and it’s certain Denver got many teachings from him. I’ve read and studied much of the work of Margaret Barker and Denver’s talk on the Heavenly Parents, specifically the Mother, can all be learned from Barker. Imagine my complete surprise to discover Dr. Michael Heiser (The Naked Bible, Paleo Babble, The Unseen Realm, The Divine Council) who seems to mirror Denver Snuffer in every teaching except that he is from an evangelical background.

"God is doing a work. Yet it is not unique to anything LDS. The workings of God are beautiful and astounding to behold! There are MANY scholars out there who are doing and have done amazing work. Who understand and teach almost all teachings/doctrine LDS have assumed unique to them."

RC: "I have found the same things! I have searched out to things as varied as eastern meditation and what would be considered new age by many and also many other Christian sources that call themselves Remnant and don't have an organized church and there are so many things in common between all of them. At this time I can say the "one way" is truth, and it's scattered everywhere."

LB: "Yes, I found that out first, exploring the teachings of the east, cosmology and the idea of the lost Atlantis and the procession of the equinoxes, new age, and some of those more charismatic Christians. Lots of great stuff. But when I began to dig into peer reviewed, scholarly papers, from various denominations I was shocked!!! Especially the two scholars I mention above (minus Max who was a layman and LDS), Denver Snuffer has at times seem to repeat them word for word, and the lds church seems to be irrelevant now in sharing doctrines once thought to be unique to them. (In my mind it’s like God realizes that they failed and is now like, time to move on with my other plans). 😂"

RC: "'It is good to be born in a church, but it is bad to die there. It is good to be born a child, but bad to remain a child. Churches, ceremonies, symbols are good for children; but when the child is grown up, he must burst, either the church or himself....The end of all religion is the realization of God.'"
